We love to celebrate Cambridge. And, in a city full of professors, authors, inventors and nobel prize winners Snowy is a man worth celebrating.
A genuine eccentric, "Snowy" (real name Walter Farr) used to stand at the corner of Petty Cury and Market Hill collecting money for all sorts of good causes. He was awarded an MBE for his efforts in 1995 and has raised well over £100,000, and perhaps as much as £250,000, by the time of his death in 2007. He is honoured by a statue outside the Guild Hall:
We think that's the kind of person worth remembering. So we give you Snowy's Espresso blend!
